The ‘little train’ by the Kingsbridge Estuary

xArtboard 1

The Kingsbridge & District Light Railway Co. (KDLR) is a solar powered miniature railway that takes passengers on a journey alongside the water’s edge in Kingsbridge. Welcoming adults and children alike, it is run entirely by volunteers and donations, so you might find your conductor for the day is a local vicar, a bobby off their beat or even a town counsellor!

Hop on board the ‘little train’ and enjoy the view!

The ‘little train’s journey

The original Kingsbridge railway was in the 1970s, but in 1989 it was no longer running, it was later dismantled in 1991 having fallen into disrepair. In 2015 a community effort brought it back to life, and now it’s better than ever!
